BOARDER CROSSING

What Information Do I Need to Cross the Border? MDOT

The Blue Water Bridge is an international crossing between the United States of America and the dominion of Canada. As you enter either country you will be stopped and questioned prior to entry into that country. Each person in your vehicle must be able to prove their citizenship. Travelers must have a passport, passport card or other federally approved document to enter the country. Michigan residents can cross with the enhanced driver’s license and state identification card. This initiative received federal approval in October 2008.
