Closing Another CCM Shootout Season

Learn which teams stood out in the second half of our Notre Dame events

The 2023-24 CCM Shootout came to a conclusion this past weekend with the eighth and final division wrapped up at the University of Notre Dame. Compton Family Ice Arena hosted 134 teams across the eight CCM Shootouts and the Irish Leprechaun Tournament. We previously recapped the events that concluded in 2023, and now we want to shine a light on the CCM Shootouts that wrapped up in 2024.

Boys 2010 Division

January 5-7, 2024

Of the 28 teams that participated in the 2010 division, only three teams completed the weekend undefeated in regulation. These teams were Fox Motors (4-0-1), Cleveland Barons Elite (4-0-1), and the Palmyra Black Knights (3-0-2). The Barons impressively accumulated their four wins while only scoring 15 goals over their four games, with two shutout victories and their only tie being vs Palmyra. In contrast to the Baron’s shutdown performance, the Alaska Oilers went 4-1-0 driven by their offense, leading the division with 28 goals over their five games.

Boys 15 Only Division

January 19-21, 2024

With wins over the Tri-State Spartans, Carolina Jr Hurricanes Black, Long Island Arrows, Compuware, and Connecticut Jr. Rangers, the Affton Americans were the only team of the 15O division to complete a perfect 5-0-0 weekend. At 3-0-1 going into the final game of the weekend the Naperville Sabres were one win away from finishing with the second best record on the weekend. However, their 2-1 loss to the Madison Capitols dropped them to third under the Syracuse Nationals (4-1-0), whose only loss was to the Sabres.

Boys 2013 Division

January 26-28, 2024

Three of the 16 teams in the 2013 division were able to complete their weekend without suffering a loss. The Chicago Reapers brought the offense, registering 38 goals over their weekend, racking up four wins and a tie with the Toronto Young Nationals. The Music City Marauders also concluded their weekend at 4-0-1 with their only tie coming in a 4-4 draw with the Windy City Storm. The Alaska Oilers were the only team to have a clean sweep on the weekend with wins over the Indiana Elite, Victory Honda, Chicago Fury, Windy City Storm, and Madison Capitols.

Boys 2014 Division

February 2-4, 2024

The Cleveland Barons Elite were the only team to go undefeated in regulation on the weekend. They tallied wins over the Chicago Fury and Anaheim Jr Ducks while tying Battery Byers Hockey, St. Louis Knights, and Team Illinois. Though they were undefeated in regulation, their 2-0-3 record was only the third best record on the weekend. The Chicago Fury’s only loss on the weekend was to Cleveland as they completed their weekend at 4-1-0 with the top record followed by the Kitchener Jr. Rangers at 3-1-1.

Now that the 2023-24 CCM Shootout has come to an end, we are excited to announce the dates for the 2024-25 CCM Shootout weekends:

• October 18 – 20, 2024 – Irish Leprechaun Tournament
• November 22 – 24, 2024 – 2014 Division
• December 13 – 15, 2024 – 2012 Division
• January 3 – 5, 2025 – 2011 Division
• January 10 – 12, 2025 – 15 Only Division
• January 24 – 26, 2025 – 2013 Division
• January 31 – February 2, 2025 – 2015 Division
