Weekend Recap: 2024 CCM Motown

The 2024 CCM Motown kicked off with an electric atmosphere that could only be found in Hockeytown. Opening Night was packed with excitement, featuring special appearances by celebrity guests Coach Chippy, On The Bench, and the iconic Hanson Brothers. Fans were treated to ten thrilling feature games, while coaches and managers enjoyed a reception complete with stunning ice sculptures, a live DJ, and endless good times. The Hockey Hall of Fame brought a piece of history to the event, showcasing a variety of trophies with a special emphasis on Detroit’s storied hockey past. Vendors like Howies Hockey brought the good vibes, and the RapidShot Skills Competition put attendees to the test in their shooting trailer.

 

As we celebrated the 20th anniversary of CCM Motown, the energy was at an all-time high, making this year’s tournament one for the ages. With 358 teams, 801 games played across 22 venues and 46 ice sheets, this tournament was a monumental showcase of talent. Teams from three countries—Czech Republic, Canada, and the United States—competed, representing 21 U.S. states and two Canadian provinces. A total of 25 divisions crowned champions, with four championship games going into overtime. Seven teams finished the weekend undefeated, and 12 emerged as undisputed champions with no losses or ties.

We have entered the peak of the season and many of our tournaments have already reached capacity, however a few select events still have spots available throughout the season.
