It was another busy weekend on the ice as 200×85 hosted the Savannah Showdown Tier II in Savannah, Georgia, and the first CCM Shootout of the year for 2012 birth-year teams. Across both events, 27 teams played 68 games, bringing plenty of competitive hockey, big performances, and memorable moments to the weekend.

Savannah Showdown Tier II

The Savannah Showdown Tier II featured 12 teams and 30 games across three divisions, with three teams finishing the weekend undefeated.The St. Louis Eagles went undefeated in the 12U AA division, while the Hampton Roads Whalers posted an undefeated record at 14U AA. In 14U A, the Carolina Jr Hurricanes Black also finished the weekend without a loss.

The Savannah Showdown marked the second and final 200×85 event of the season in Savannah, but the hockey isn’t done there. Premier Ice Prospects will be returning to Savannah for the Girls Savannah Showdown, bringing more competitive hockey to the area.

CCM Shootout – 2012 Birth Year

The first CCM Shootout of the year brought together 15 teams for 38 games of 2012 birth-year hockey. With just one undefeated team across the field, the Peoria Jr Mustangs, stood alone as the weekend’s unbeaten squad.

The CCM Shootout schedule continues throughout the season, but limited spaces remain in future CCM Shootout events. Teams looking to get into the lineup should register soon.
