From Futures to the Combine: Looking Back at 2026 and Ahead to 2027

The CCM 68 Futures program continues to be one of the premier development and identification opportunities for young hockey players. Designed to challenge athletes, provide meaningful evaluation, and create a pathway toward the prestigious CCM 68 Combine, the program gives players the opportunity to compete in an elite environment while gaining valuable insight into what it takes to reach the next level.

Reflecting on the 2026 CCM 68 Futures ID Camps

The 2026 CCM 68 Futures ID Camps brought together talented young athletes from across North America for three days of high-level training, competition, and evaluation. Each camp was designed to push players both on and off the ice while giving them an opportunity to learn from experienced coaches, evaluators, and hockey professionals.

The three-day experience included:

  • Five on-ice sessions, including three high-profile games and two training sessions
  • Two off-ice training sessions
  • A nutrition and performance webinar
  • CCM 68 Futures jersey, socks, hat, and workout shirt

Throughout each camp, athletes received feedback from 200×85 staff, CCM 68 Futures evaluators, and professional guest coaches. The combination of competitive gameplay, focused training, and individual evaluation gave players a better understanding of their strengths and the areas they can continue to develop.

One of the biggest highlights of the 2026 Futures season was seeing athletes earn their next opportunity. A total of 29 standout players—24 boys and 5 girls—received early invitations to the 2027 CCM 68 Combine, highlighting the level of talent competing throughout the Futures program.
