USJDP Expands to Lake Forest Academy in Illinois for Summer 2027
October 28, 2026
For the first time, USJDP will offer its elite residential camp experience outside Colorado, bringing high-level hockey development to Lake Forest, Illinois, July 19–24, 2027.
200×85’s United States Junior Development Program (USJDP) is expanding its residential camp offerings to the Midwest with a new location at Lake Forest Academy in Lake Forest, Illinois, from July 19–24, 2027. Historically offered exclusively at the University of Denver and Colorado College, the addition of Lake Forest Academy will make USJDP’s elite training and residential experience accessible to more players and families who may not be able to travel out West.
The new location brings USJDP’s high-performance training environment to the Chicago area, offering players born between 2007 and 2013 an immersive summer hockey experience that combines on-ice skill development, off-ice strength and conditioning, and the opportunity to experience life in a campus setting.
All camp activities will take place at MacKenzie Ice Arena and adjacent athletic facilities on the Lake Forest Academy campus. Resident campers will stay in campus residence halls, sharing standard two-person collegiate dorm rooms, with the option to room with a friend or teammate. Three buffet-style meals will be provided daily, and dedicated dorm supervisors will reside in the same residence halls to provide 24-hour supervision throughout the week.
“We’re excited to bring USJDP to Lake Forest Academy and give more players the opportunity to experience what our program is all about,” said Aidan Mann, USJDP Event Director. “This camp is designed to help players develop their skills while experiencing the structure, training environment, and daily routine of a collegiate hockey setting. Lake Forest Academy gives us an outstanding campus to deliver a similar experience.”

The Lake Forest Academy location further expands USJDP’s Residential Camp footprint, joining existing summer offerings at the University of Denver (Week 1 & Week 2) and Colorado College. Each location provides athletes with an immersive environment built around hockey development, athletic performance, and personal growth.
“Expanding USJDP to Lake Forest Academy is another step in our commitment to providing players with meaningful development opportunities in high-level training environments,” said Justin Lewandowski, President of 200×85. “We’re proud to continue growing the program and giving athletes more opportunities to train, compete, and experience the next level of hockey.”
For families traveling from outside the area, airport transportation will be available for an additional fee, with pickup and return service between O’Hare International Airport and the camp residence halls. Additional information regarding transportation, accommodations, and camp logistics will be provided to registered participants in advance of the event.
The USJDP Residential Camp at Lake Forest Academy is open to players born between 2007 and 2013 and is open for registration.
