Dan, a native of Cleveland, Ohio, played 13 years pro, including 6 years in the NHL for the Columbus Blue Jackets, New York Rangers and Minnesota Wild. Dan finished his pro career overseas in Switzerland, where he won a championship with the Zurich Lions in 2014.
Since retiring, Dan has stayed very active in youth hockey, coaching his kid’s teams, running camps and clinics throughout Ohio and Pennsylvania and working with the Mercyhurst Jr. Lakers program, out of Erie, PA.
Dan and his wife Melissa have 3 boys, Brady, Mason, and Danny Jr.
