Champion: Broncos ecole secondaire La Decouverte

Howie’s Hockey MVP: Danny Kananga, #13

It may have felt like an ordinary pool play game when the puck dropped Saturday night between the Hoffman Estates Timberwolves and the Broncos ecole secondaire La Decouverte, but these two teams had a long road ahead of them. The Timberwolves won that match 5-2, but fast forward to the championship, and the Broncos were the last team standing in between them and the championship banner. This time the atmosphere felt nothing like that of a pool play game; every effort to advance was tightly contested. There was only one goal scored in the game, and that is what propelled the Broncos to their championship title.
