It was a busy weekend across the 200×85 hockey landscape, with championship hockey taking over Colorado, New York and Massachusetts.

From the CCM Denver to the Dick’s Sporting Goods Classic and the first-ever WUSS-tah Sauce, teams battled through hundreds of games and plenty of memorable finishes. The Klevr Super League also got its season underway in both Canada and the USA.

Here’s a look back at the weekend — and what’s coming next.

CCM Denver Takes Over Colorado

The CCM Denver brought 110 teams to Colorado, including teams from as far away as North Carolina. Across 246 games, 11 champions were crowned:

The weekend featured several standout finishes. The Littleton Hawks won the 16U Ribcor championship 3-2 over the McKinney North Stars in a shootout, while the San Jose Jr. Sharks capped an undefeated 16U Tacks run with a 3-0 shutout over the Colorado Rampage — their fifth shutout of the weekend.

The Vegas Jr. Golden Knights also completed a perfect weekend in 2012 Jetspeed, shutting out the San Jose Jr. Sharks 3-0 for their fourth shutout. Lafayette Locomotive and the San Jose Jr. Sharks also finished undefeated in the 2012 Ribcor and 2013 Divisions, respectively.

Colorado Extreme scored 29 goals across six games to win the 2014 Jetspeed title, while the Littleton Hawks finished undefeated in both the 2016 and 2017 Divisions.

We won’t be away from Colorado for long. The CCM Denver Dash returns in May, with registration open now. Colorado will also host a CCM Hockey Showcase, USJDP Residential Camps, and CCM College Training Weekend at Colorado College this summer.

Rochester Brings the Action at the Dick’s Sporting Goods Classic

Twenty-nine teams traveled from Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Ontario and Pennsylvania for 65 games and seven championships:

• Team Cleveland — 12U Ribcor

The 16U championship provided some redemption for Ottawa Valley, which defeated the West Seneca Wings in the final after losing to them in its opening game.

The hometown Jr Americans completed an undefeated weekend with a 4-2 win over the Philadelphia Revolution in the 14U Final. The Cleveland Barons needed overtime to win the 12U Tacks title, while Team Cleveland defeated the Clarence Mustangs in a shootout for the 12U Ribcor championship.

The Amherst Knights edged the Jersey Hitmen 2-1 in 2016 Tacks, while the PHA Icemen took home two titles in the 2016 Ribcor and 2017 Divisions.

The First-Ever WUSS-tah Sauce Makes Its Debut

The weekend wrapped up in Worcester, Massachusetts, where 18 teams took part in the inaugural WUSS-tah Sauce. Across 39 games, four teams became the event’s first champions:

• Long Island Royals — 2015 Jetspeed
• Junior Railers — 2016 Division
• Junior Railers — 2017 Division

The Boston Jr Eagles and Long Island Royals both earned shutout victories in their respective championship games, with the Royals completing an undefeated weekend. The hometown Junior Railers also had a weekend to remember, capturing both the 2016 and 2017 Division titles with one-goal victories.

The Klevr Super League Season Is Underway

While tournament hockey was happening across three cities, the Klevr Super League also officially got its season started.

The Pro Hockey Life Season Opener kicked off KSL Canada in Toronto, while the inaugural Klevr Fall Kickoff marked the first-ever KSL USA event in Darien, Illinois.

And there’s plenty more KSL hockey still to come.
