Among the standout performers were seventeen (17) 200×85 alumni, whose skill and determination played a pivotal role in the team’s success.
Alumni Contributions Highlighted
200×85 is proud to celebrate the remarkable achievements of the following alumni who donned the red, white, and blue:
- Trey Augustine (CCM 68 Alumni): The goaltender tied IIHF records for most career U20 medals (three) and most career gold medals (two). Augustine’s steady presence in net, particularly in the final moments of overtime, was instrumental to the team’s success.
- Ryan Leonard (CCM 68 Alumni): Named tournament MVP, Leonard showcased exceptional leadership and skill. He recorded 5 goals and 5 assists, including a crucial game-tying feed in the gold medal match.
- Cole Hutson (CCM 68 Alumni): The dynamic defenseman contributed 3 goals and 8 assists, leading all U.S. skaters with 11 points. His late goal in the second period of the final tied the game and shifted momentum in Team USA’s favor.
- James Hagens (CCM 68 Alumni): With 5 goals and 4 assists, Hagens was a key offensive force throughout the tournament, consistently finding ways to create opportunities.
- Gabe Perreault (CCM 68 Alumni): Perreault’s playmaking ability was on full display as he tallied 3 goals and 7 assists, finishing among the team’s top scorers.

A Tournament to Remember
The gold medal game against Finland was nothing short of dramatic. Down 3-1 early in the second period, Team USA stormed back to tie the game 3-3, setting the stage for an intense overtime. Teddy Stiga scored the golden goal, with a breakaway pass from Zeev Buium, sealing the Americans’ historic victory.
Captain Ryan Leonard reflected on the journey: “The ice was tilted in the last ten minutes of the second, and they didn’t really have the puck. We knew if we stuck to our game, good things would happen.”
