68 Selects Alumni Set Sights on NCAA
Past participants of the elite bantam camp secured Division-I commitments on the first day that colleges could offer scholarships to athletes.
Â
This past weekend marked schools’ first opportunities to offer scholarships to 2004-birth year athletes, and following the August 1st start date, several 16-year-olds began making verbal commitments to universities across the country.
Three alumni from the 2018 CCM 68 camp made announcements via social media, including Andon Cerbone (University of Michigan), Christian Kocsis (Providence College) and Seamus Powell (Boston College). 2003-birth year forward Jack Musa (Boston University) also made his commitment over the weekend to round out the opening date activities.
They join several other CCM 68 alumni to make D-I commitments in recent months. A pair of ‘02s in Lachlan Getz and Collin Graf both committed to Union College while ‘01s Trevor Kuntar (Boston College) and Charlie Strobel (University of Minnesota) secured commitments this past spring. Goaltender Nicholas Grabko and 2015 alum has been verbally committed to Bentley University since February as well.
The 2020 CCM 68 Camp is slated to begin on Friday, as 200×85 will welcome the next group of top boys and girls from across the United States from the 2006-birth year. This event regularly features elite players at the bantam age level, and getting involved starts with our CCM 68 Futures camps. Track all the action from this weekend’s CCM 68 festivities by following along on social media.
