Weekend Recap: 2022 CCM World Invite Chicago
The World’s Largest Hockey Tournament Concludes in the Windy City
Youth hockey’s biggest celebration had everything. The CCM World Invite hosted 10,032 players from 528 teams competing in 57 sheets of ice across Chicago. The weekend kicked off with youth hockey’s biggest party on the opening night including celebrity guests, ice sculptures, skate fittings, trophies from the Hockey Hall of fame, and more. It took 7,231 goals over 1,210 games to have 27 champions prevail. Championship day was filled with tight contests with 14 of the 27 championship matches coming down to one goal. In the end, 24 different clubs won championships, eight of the 27 champions were undisputed champions and seven more were undefeated in regulation.
