200×85’s Give Back Program Embraces Girls’ Hockey
200×85’s Give Back Program Champions Girls Hockey at Premier Ice Prospect’s Mrs. Hockey Invite
In the last four years, the 200×85 Gives Back program has made a significant impact by supporting dozens of families across North America, providing free hockey equipment, protective gear, gift cards, and more. Acknowledging that hockey can be financially challenging for some, 200×85, in collaboration with partner CCM Hockey, continues its mission to alleviate these pressures. This commitment takes a monumental step forward with the announcement of the latest edition of the Give Back Program, focusing on recognizing champions at the Premier Ice Prospect‘s Mrs. Hockey Invite. The event is scheduled from January 12 to 15, 2024, in Ft. Lauderdale.

This initiative underscores 200×85’s unwavering dedication to nurturing growth in girls’ hockey and empowering the broader hockey community. It is a celebration of the strategic merger with Premier Ice Prospects (PIP Hockey), amplifying opportunities for girls’ youth hockey players.

The Mrs. Hockey Invite, an exclusive 12U event, pays homage to the legacy of Colleen “Mrs. Hockey®” Howe, a trailblazer and advocate for women in hockey. Teams participating in this prestigious tournament will compete for the chance to secure their spot as champions. Winning players will be awarded CCM Hockey Gloves, and goalies will receive CCM goalie sticks.

“200×85’s Give Back program, supported by CCM, empowers us to make a meaningful impact on youth hockey families,” stated Kevin Mann, President & CEO of 200×85. “As we welcome Premier Ice Prospects into the 200×85 hockey family, our focus is on strengthening our commitment to girls’ youth hockey. In a world where not everyone enjoys the same benefits, we understand the importance of fostering inclusivity and supporting others. The 200×85 Give Back program is one example of our team’s dedication to enhancing the overall experience for families in our game.”
Â
Unlike previous years, the Give Back Program will not be based on nominations. The champions will be determined through their performance in the Mrs. Hockey Invite championship game. This year, 29 teams across three divisions will compete, and the Give Back Program aims to provide CCM Hockey Gloves to the skaters and CCM goalie sticks to the goaltenders of the victorious teams.
Â
“I want to express our heartfelt appreciation for the unwavering support and emphasis on the girls’ game by CCM,” said Kathy Pippy, Premier Ice Prospects Director of Girls Hockey. “Their commitment to empowering young female athletes aligns seamlessly with our mission at Premier Ice Prospects. The collaboration with 200×85 and CCM in the Give Back Program for the Mrs. Hockey Invite is a testament to their dedication to fostering growth in girls’ hockey. We are grateful for this partnership that not only recognizes champions on the ice but also champions the development and opportunities for girls in the hockey community.”

As 200×85 continues to deliver excellence in youth hockey experiences since 2003, this year’s Give Back Program marks an exciting chapter, furthering the positive impact on the hockey community and championing the growth of girls’ hockey. Excitement fills the air as 200×85 looks forward to giving back and creating lasting experiences for the next generation of female hockey players.
