Alumni Shine in 2025 USHL Draft
Another USHL Draft has come and gone — and once again, 200×85 alumni made their presence felt.
From the earliest picks in Phase I to the closing selections of Phase II, 63 players who once wore the colors of CCM 68 and CCM Chicago Brick heard their names called by teams across the league. It’s a powerful testament to the development pipeline built by 200×85 and the caliber of talent that moves through its programs year after year.
The United States Hockey League Draft takes place in two phases. Phase I is dedicated to the 16U age group, comprised of players born in 2009. Each team selects 15 players in that phase, forming the foundation of their affiliate list. In Phase II, teams fill out their 50-man protected lists with players born between 2005 and 2008 — a mix of junior-eligible athletes, late bloomers, and already committed prospects ready to make the jump.
And at every stage of this year’s draft, 200×85 alumni stood out.
Take a look at just a few highlights:
- Thaddeus McMahon (CCM 68 Combine, CCM Chicago Brick) – 1st Overall, Phase I, Omaha Lancers
- Caleb Deanovich (CCM Chicago Brick) – 7th Overall, Phase I, Dubuque Fighting Saints
- Ethan Sung (CCM 68 Combine) – 12th Overall, Phase I, Sioux Falls Stampede
- Landon Jackman (CCM 68 Combine) – 15th Overall, Phase I, Lincoln Stars
- Trevor Shorter (CCM Chicago Brick) – 17th Overall, Phase I, Chicago Steel
And that’s just the beginning. In total, dozens of 200×85-developed players earned selections across both phases of the draft.

Looking Ahead: 2025 CCM 68 Combine
The success of this year’s draftees is no surprise to those who’ve seen them compete — and many first rose to prominence at the CCM 68 Combine. North America’s premier U14 event returns August 6–10, 2025, in Chicago, bringing together the continent’s top 136 players born in 2011 for a week of high-level training, testing, and competition.
Official rosters will be announced soon — and getting there is no small feat.
Invitations are extended through a combination of 200×85’s extensive scouting team and standout performances at the CCM 68 Futures ID Camps. Nearly all of this year’s ID Camps are sold out, but there’s still one last chance to make a statement at the CCM 68 Futures ID Camp – Ontario which takes place August 15–17.
Spotlight on the New: CCM Hockey Showcase
The USHL Draft isn’t the only place 200×85 athletes are making waves. This summer also marked the debut of the CCM Hockey Showcase series — a new opportunity for players to train, compete, and be seen by scouts at the NCAA and junior levels.
The first showcase wrapped up in Virginia Beach, VA, with coaches and scouts from across North America in attendance.

These events are open to high-level players hungry for the next step in their journey.
