Competition and culture collide on a European vacation designed for the entire hockey family

Hockey has never been just about hockey; the sport is much larger than that. The isolation of long road trips and late nights in the hotel inadvertently serves as quality bonding time between a parent and child. The investment of time and money gives the athlete a sense of appreciation and sacrifice made by those that support them. The memories made between a parent and child on the road, for instance, will be remembered and valued long after the goals, hits and saves fade away.

Whether it’s the six-hour car ride to Chicago for a tournament, or the TV trivia games and Keno numbers at the restaurant, some of the most valuable moments in youth hockey don’t involve the rink at all. What resonates for a lifetime is the one-on-one time between parent and child, exploring, experiencing, learning and living in the moment. 

200×85 has provided European tours for more than a decade, combining an unbelievable hockey experience for the athletes and an unforgettable vacation for the families. Players compete against top competition from the United States, Canada, Sweden, Russia and other prominent hockey countries, in one of the most memorable international youth events on the planet. Parents bask in the delicacies of European cuisine, arts and spirits, enjoying all the perks of an overseas getaway.  

Many people come for the hockey, but the memories they return home with are so much more than that. New teammates and strangers become long-time friends and social media connections. An eight-hour flight and bus ride become quality family time. Foreign foods and local tourism become unforgettable moments that last a lifetime. 

In 2021, 200×85 will send its CCM Selects teams from six different age groups to Bled, Slovenia, and Bratislava, Slovakia, for the best in hockey, travel and family experience.

All meals, all ground transportation, airport transfers and a full-time local tour guide are included. Participants can compete in as many as nine games during the trip, with all ice and hockey-related expenses included in the initial price.
