ARE YOU THANKFUL FOR 2020?
Take a second to think about what year stands out most to you in your lifetime. There might be an event or two that brings you back to a certain year, but if you’re like us, we can’t get past 2020! I mean, the world literally shut down for a few months, stay at home orders were set in place, no one could travel, businesses shut down for good, and people were fighting over toilet paper, literally, toilet paper was the hottest item of 2020!
Despite all the challenges that 2020 brought, there has been a common theme amongst our staff here at 200×85 regarding what they are most thankful for this thanksgiving season, and no it isn’t the fact their bathrooms are stocked with toilet paper!
Here’s what the 200×85 team is most thankful for in 2020:
Â
Kevin Mann, President/CEO:
This year I’m grateful for the incredible people in my life including my family, friends, & workmates! I’m also thankful for my health to be able to experience this perpetual playground we have here in Colorado!Â
Â
Sasha Ristic, VP of Business Development:
I’m thankful for the health of my family

Â
Justin Lewandowski, VP – Hockey Operations:
I’m thankful, as always, for the health and happiness of my family.
Â
Mark Roy, Director of Team & Player Services:
I am very grateful that my family and friends are all safe and sound, I feel very lucky that they are all healthy and happy with who they are and what they do. My family is in different “helping people” industries across the US, and each of them give themselves with no expectation. Â
I am also thankful for the people I work with, each of them bring their own flavor and it is what makes this all work. I hope we continue to do great things in the hockey world.
I also am very thankful for my Golden Retriever Ted E. Bear, he brings smiles and joy to everyone he comes in contact with.
Â
Chris Kaspar, Director of Team & Player Recruitment:
2020 has been quite the year! I am thankful for being able to spend time with my family during the quarantine times.
Â
Jon Sutton, Regional Director:
I’m thankful for you my family; My father Ken and stepmother Angie who are in Florida soaking up the sun. My sister Jennifer and her husband David who recently had their first born Julianna making me a first time uncle. My aunts, uncles, and cousins in California who I don’t get to see often but think of constantly. I’m thankful for my girlfriend Stacey who is my best friend and keeps me sane. Lastly, I’m thankful for 200×85 for giving me an opportunity to work in the sport I love.Â
Â
Laura Szczepaniak, VP Travel Operations:
This year, I am particularly thankful for my family, friends, and co-workers that surround me. Our relationships have grown stronger and I feel supported in so many ways. Through these stressful times, our 200X85 team has been protective of me just like my own family has been!
Â
Mike Embach, Director of Player Development & Sponsorship:
For the year 2020, I’m thankful that Jordyn and I were able to celebrate our wedding ceremony this summer, that we’ve been able to watch and experience the learning and growth of our beautiful daughter, and that my friends and family have stayed healthy and happy throughout this crazy year.
Â
Jen Hamilton, Assistant Director Travel Operations:
I am thankful that my family is happy and healthy and we are together for the holidays. I am thankful for the bumps life has thrown my way this year that have challenged me, made me stronger, made me lean on those I love a little more, and, in the end, have led to a personal and professional change.
Â
Christina Diepholz, Assistant Director of Travel Operations
With all of the challenges that 2020 has brought our way, I am most thankful for the extra time I have been able to spend with my family. We have had more family dinners, game nights, more laughs, and family walks. We definitely don’t take the loved ones that we are surrounded by for granted. I am thankful for our dedicated team at 200×85. I feel fortunate that hockey has been able to keep playing, and to offer an outlet for kids to keep some normalcy in their lives. Seeing so many devastated by the pandemic, I continue to be grateful and feel blessed that we are all staying healthy. Â
We hope that whatever it is that you’re thankful for in 2020, that you remember to keep your family at the forefront of the list, and continue to deepen your relationship with one another, and always remember that 200×85 is a part of your family, forever!
We wish you a safe and healthy thanksgiving holiday and hope to see you at the rinks soon.
Â
Happy Thanksgiving, we are so grateful for you,
200×85 StaffÂ
