The Prague Summer Games (July 27 – August 3, 2024)

This exclusive journey is tailored for Elite AAA boys in the 2011 division. The tournament will unfold at the Skoda Ice Arena, hosting teams from Finland, Sweden, Slovakia, Czechia, and the USA. But the real magic lies in Prague itself, a city celebrated as “The City of a Thousand Spires” for its beauty, magic, and surreal charm. Voted the most beautiful city globally and designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Prague promises an experience like no other.

 

To ensure an immersive encounter with this enchanting city, our accommodations are just a 15-minute walk from Prague’s Old Town Square and the iconic Astronomical Clock. Scheduled tours of the Square, St. Charles Bridge, and more, coupled with a world-class hockey tournament, promise an unparalleled summer vacation. The games will be live-streamed on Czech Ice Hockey TV, allowing friends and family at home to share in the excitement.

Blake Sorensen

2011 CCM SELECTS HEAD COACH

Coach Sorensen brings an extensive playing and coaching experience to the 2011 CCM Selects. A standout player at St. Norbert College (NCAA DIII), he played six seasons professionally in Europe after graduating in 1999. The Ontario native has coached at various levels, notably, he led Loyola Academy Maroon to the State Championship Title in 2017 and Loyola Academy Gold to the State Championship Title in 2018. Recently, he guided the Chicago Reapers 2011, 2012 & 2013 age groups to State Titles in 2022 for U12 and U11.

The Czech Lions Cup (August 4 – 11, 2024)

Open to AAA and AA boys in divisions 2010-2013, this tournament promises not just thrilling hockey but also cultural exploration. Featuring an exhibition game and a minimum of 5 tournament games per team, players and their guests can anticipate a 7-night stay with two meals per day, a Vltava River Cruise, guided tours of major attractions, and more.

 

Both excursions promise custom jerseys and socks, creating lasting memories on and off the ice. As you indulge in the hockey action, take advantage of our professional skate sharpener and explore the new Pro Shop featuring CCM and tournament apparel.

Chris Stern

2010 CCM SELECTS HEAD COACH

Stern brings a winning pedigree to his teams. With success at every level of youth hockey, including a USA Hockey Tier 1 National Championship, Stern has consistently led teams to fullest potential. His impact extends beyond the rink, as players under his guidance have excelled in NCAA Division I and III, Junior A Hockey, and even reached the NHL. Stern’s multifaceted contributions include scouting in the USHL and NAHL Junior A leagues, coaching and evaluating for USA Hockey player development camps, and serving as a presenter at USA Hockey coaching clinics.

Jon Sutton

2011 CCM SELECTS HEAD COACH

Michigan native, Jon Sutton, brings a wealth of experience as the Head Coach for the CCM Selects’ 2011 Birth Year Team. An Eastern Michigan University graduate in Exercise Science and former EMU Hockey Captain, Sutton’s four-year playing career, coupled with two years as an Academic All-American, underscores his commitment to excellence. With six years of coaching experience, including stints with Little Caesars, Honeybaked, and now with Biggby Hockey, Sutton has honed his skills in nurturing young talent.

Louis Gialedakis

2012 CCM SELECTS HEAD COACH

With over 30 years of coaching experience, Coach Gialedakis has shaped the careers of 60+ NHL-drafted players and numerous players in the NCAA, OHL, and QMJHL. His coaching philosophy, rooted in tenets of class, accountability, and hard work, reflects his unwavering passion for the game. Beyond the rink, Coach Gialedakis is a dedicated mentor, committed to the holistic development of his players, fostering not only athletic skills but also life lessons. Coach Louie continues his mission of positively influencing and changing the lives of young hockey players.

CJ Stellabotte

2013 CCM SELECTS HEAD COACH

CJ, a Pittsburgh native, brings six years of coaching experience, four with the Esmark Stars, and a rich background in local and junior hockey. Currently coaching and scouting for NAPHL’s Esmark Stars and Lovell Hockey, CJ’s coaching ethos revolves around development, nurturing a love for the game, and ensuring a fun experience. His coaching journey is defined by a commitment to personal growth, building player connections and coaching techniques. CJ stands as a passionate mentor, shaping not only victories but a lasting love for hockey in his players.
