The Best in Youth Hockey

Setting the bar as the worldwide leader in tournaments, teams and events

For 16 years, 200×85 has continually pushed the boundaries of youth hockey. What began as a single tournament over one weekend on the calendar has grown into more than 20 different tournaments, combines and camps, along with dozens of tournament teams, packed throughout the entire year. Reaching more than 65,000 athletes and 1,800 teams annually, 200×85 has become a pillar in the youth hockey space.

It’s hard to imagine a hockey season without attending a CCM World Invite — 17 events in 11 different cities worldwide — or a summer without developing at The Brick Tournament or CCM 68 Combine — two of the most prestigious events at the 10U and 14U age groups respectively.

“Our goal at 200-by-85 has always been to have a positive influence on youth hockey as a whole and reach as many families as possible with world-class events that we’re proud of,” said president and CEO Kevin Mann.

“Hockey is a sport that has always produced lifelong memories for the entire family, with weekend road trips and obviously exciting on-ice moments,” he said. “Whether you attend one of our tournaments, play on a spring team, take a tour to Europe or attend a summer camp, we want everyone to leave as a better hockey player than they were before and a memory that makes this sport so special.”

Starting 2021 off on a dead sprint, 200×85 opens the month of January with one of the busiest stretches it’s ever seen. On three separate weekends, the ‘09s, ‘10s and 15U age groups converge on South Bend, Indiana, for the CCM Shootout Notre Dame. In addition to those three events, the Windy City Girls and CCM World Invite Finale (regularly held in Chicago but moved to Dallas and Wisconsin for 2021) take place on consecutive weekends.

What can you expect from these fantastic events this year? The Team at Culturama ranks four of 200×85’s events among the best in North America

The Brick Tournament and CCM World Invite Chicago both check in among the top five events. While The Brick is an external event, 200×85 is an affiliate organization with a member team, the Chicago Jr. Blackhawks, for 11 years. The World Invite in Chicago is the largest youth hockey tournament on the planet, which has grown to more than 500 teams across nine different age groups. Also ranked 11th and 12th, the Motown tournament and Nation’s Cup were founded by current VP of business development, Sasha Ristic.
