200×85 Announces Exciting Partnership with Boom Boom Cup Classics

The Beginning of Delivering Excellence in Adult Hockey Experiences

200×85, a pioneer in youth hockey events, is delighted to unveil its new partnership with Danny Geoffrion and the Boom Boom Cup Classics series of adult tournaments. This collaboration marks 200×85’s inaugural venture into adult hockey, extending their legacy of providing high-quality experiences for over two decades at the youth level.

Named in honor of Danny’s renowned father, Bernard “Boom Boom” Geoffrion, the Boom Boom Cup Classics pays homage to the legendary NHL player and coach. With a remarkable 16-year career, Boom Boom Geoffrion earned his iconic nickname from the thunderous sound on the boards when his slapshot missed the net during practice. As a hockey hall of famer and credited inventor of the slapshot, his legacy lives on in these prestigious tournaments.

Continuing his father’s legacy, Danny Geoffrion will serve as the pivotal Director of Adult Tournaments for the 200×85 team, overseeing the Boom Boom Cup Classics. This partnership aims to bring the same level of excellence and passion that has characterized 200×85’s youth programs to the adult hockey community.

“We are thrilled to embark on this exciting journey into adult hockey through our partnership with the Boom Boom Cup Classics,” said Kevin Mann, President and CEO of 200×85. “Danny’s commitment to preserving his father’s legacy and the spirit of the game aligns seamlessly with our mission at 200×85. Together, we look forward to delivering unforgettable experiences to adult hockey players.”
